Yin Yoga

Yin yoga, like all other types of yoga, improves emotional, physical, and mental well-being. Yin yoga entails passive sitting postures that can be sustained for prolonged periods of time, leading to a deeper journey that reveals contemplative qualities of yoga.

Yin yoga consists of nearly two dozen postures that target connective tissues such as bones, ligaments, and joints of the body that are not commonly trained in an active practise of asanas. Yin yoga focuses on connective tissues, particularly those of the hips, spine, and lower spine.
